Privacy Notice

Categories of information collected:

• Account information: email address, display name, hashed password.
• Submission content: reports, dispute responses, vouch comments, and any evidence files you upload.
• Identity/contact detail for verification, where account verification is required (e.g., to vouch).
• Technical data: IP address and basic request logs, for security and abuse prevention.

Public vs. private fields. Display name, published report content, and public responses are visible to anyone. Email addresses, phone numbers submitted for lookup, raw evidence files, and moderator notes are never displayed publicly — phone numbers are stored only as a one-way hash plus the last four digits.

Evidence processing. Uploaded evidence is stored to power the moderation review and, where a listing is published, may be made available to the named party during their response process. Evidence is not published in full publicly.

Identity verification. Where verification is required (e.g., for vouching), we use it only to confirm you are a real, distinct account holder — it is not published or shared beyond what's needed for that check.

Search privacy. Searches you run on VegasBlacklist are not logged in a way that is tied back to your identity or published; they exist transiently to serve your results.

Cookies and analytics. VegasBlacklist uses a session cookie required for login and basic security (CSRF protection). Any additional analytics tooling, if added, will be disclosed here before it is deployed.

Service providers. We use third-party infrastructure providers (hosting, database, file storage) to operate the platform. These providers process data on our behalf and do not independently use it for their own purposes.

Retention. See the Data Retention Policy for specific timeframes covering rejected reports, abandoned drafts, raw evidence, and account deletion.

Your rights. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us through the Respond or Dispute center. We will respond within a reasonable time and explain any limits on deletion (e.g., legal holds, fraud-prevention retention).

We do not sell personal data. VegasBlacklist does not sell personal information to third parties.

Law-enforcement requests. Requests from law enforcement for user data are handled per the Law-Enforcement Request Policy and generally require valid legal process.

Changes to this notice. Material changes to this Privacy Notice will be posted here with an updated effective date.
