Governance
VegasBlacklist operates under a fixed set of commitments that do not change based on who is asking or how much they are willing to pay.
- No pay-to-remove. No amount of money, of any kind, removes, hides, or suppresses a published report. This is permanent and non-negotiable.
- No paid ranking. Search results and listing order are never influenced by payment. There is no "featured" or "sponsored" placement for listings.
- No advertiser influence over moderation. If VegasBlacklist ever carries advertising, advertisers have zero input into what gets published, corrected, or removed.
- Conflicts are disclosed and recused. If a moderator has a personal, business, or financial relationship with a person or business under review, they are recused from that decision and it is logged.
- Controlled moderator access. Only designated moderators can approve, reject, or edit listings. Access is logged.
- Corrections stay visible. When a listing is corrected, the correction is shown alongside the original claim — we do not silently edit history.
- Human appeal review. Every appeal of a moderation decision is reviewed by a person, not an automated system alone.
- Law-enforcement requests follow policy. Requests from law enforcement are handled under our published Law-Enforcement Request Policy, not on an ad hoc basis.
These commitments apply regardless of platform size, revenue, or growth stage.
