Governance

VegasBlacklist operates under a fixed set of commitments that do not change based on who is asking or how much they are willing to pay.

  1. No pay-to-remove. No amount of money, of any kind, removes, hides, or suppresses a published report. This is permanent and non-negotiable.
  2. No paid ranking. Search results and listing order are never influenced by payment. There is no "featured" or "sponsored" placement for listings.
  3. No advertiser influence over moderation. If VegasBlacklist ever carries advertising, advertisers have zero input into what gets published, corrected, or removed.
  4. Conflicts are disclosed and recused. If a moderator has a personal, business, or financial relationship with a person or business under review, they are recused from that decision and it is logged.
  5. Controlled moderator access. Only designated moderators can approve, reject, or edit listings. Access is logged.
  6. Corrections stay visible. When a listing is corrected, the correction is shown alongside the original claim — we do not silently edit history.
  7. Human appeal review. Every appeal of a moderation decision is reviewed by a person, not an automated system alone.
  8. Law-enforcement requests follow policy. Requests from law enforcement are handled under our published Law-Enforcement Request Policy, not on an ad hoc basis.

These commitments apply regardless of platform size, revenue, or growth stage.
