How to Respond If You Are Named in a Report

Finding a report about yourself or your business on VegasBlacklist can be stressful. Here's exactly what to do.

Step 1: Read the full listing carefully. Note the evidence level shown, the specific claims made, and the date of the alleged incident.

Step 2: Use the Respond or Dispute center. Every listing has a link to submit a public response, free of charge. You can choose the option that fits your situation:

Step 3: Provide your side with specifics. A response that addresses the actual claim (payment records, timeline, correspondence) is more useful to readers and to moderators than a general denial. If the matter was resolved (refund issued, work completed, etc.), say so and provide documentation if you have it.

Step 4: Mistaken identity gets priority handling. If you are not the person involved at all, flag this specifically — these claims are reviewed on an expedited basis given the direct harm of misattribution.

Step 5: Know what happens next. Your response is reviewed by a moderator to confirm it's a genuine response from the named party, then posted alongside the original listing. If you believe the moderation decision on your response was wrong, you can file one structured appeal, reviewed by a different moderator where possible.

You will never be asked to pay to respond, correct an error, or appeal a decision. If anyone claiming to represent VegasBlacklist asks for payment to remove or alter a listing, that is not a legitimate request — see our Governance page.
